Available Parameters for RXV 2025+:
- Forward Speed - Up to 25.5 MPH
- Reverse Speed - Up to 7 MPH
- Acceleration Selection - 4 levels (Gentle, Medium, Fast, Aggressive)
- Deceleration Selection - 4 levels (Coast, Mild, Firm, Stout)
- ECO Mode - Energy conservation mode (ON/OFF toggle)
- Reverse Buzzer - Warning sound control (ON/OFF toggle)
- Smart Regenerative Braking - Advanced energy recovery (ON/OFF)
Forward & Reverse Speed Adjustment
Adjusting your cart's speed is the most common use of the KRAKEN Programmer. You have complete control over both forward and reverse speeds.
- Use Increase/Decrease buttons to navigate to Forward Speed or Reverse Speed
- Once the speed parameter is displayed, use Increase/Decrease to adjust in 0.5 MPH steps
- Maximum: 25.5 MPH forward / 7 MPH reverse
- Setting either to 0 MPH disables forward or reverse motion
- Click "Flash" to save the speed setting
Example Workflow:
- Use Increase/Decrease to navigate to "Forward Speed" → Shows current speed (e.g., 15 MPH)
- Use Increase button to adjust to 25.5 MPH
- Click "Flash" to save
- Reverse Speed automatically appears
- Adjust to desired speed (e.g., 7 MPH)
- Click "Flash" again to save
Acceleration Selection
The RXV 2025+ offers four distinct acceleration profiles, allowing you to customize how quickly your cart responds to throttle input. This is one of the most impactful settings for driving feel.
- Press the Parameter button (top left) until "Acceleration" appears on screen
- Press the Adjust button to cycle through the four levels (Gentle → Medium → Fast → Aggressive)
- Click "Flash" to save your selection
Acceleration Levels:
Deceleration Selection
Deceleration control determines how aggressively the cart slows down when you release the accelerator. The RXV 2025+ offers four deceleration profiles to match your driving style.
- Press the Parameter button (top left) until "Deceleration" appears on screen
- Press the Adjust button to cycle through the four levels (Coast → Mild → Firm → Stout)
- Click "Flash" to save your selection
Deceleration Levels:
- Gentle Accel + Coast/Mild Decel = Smooth, relaxed driving
- Medium Accel + Mild/Firm Decel = Balanced everyday driving
- Fast/Aggressive Accel + Firm/Stout Decel = Sporty, responsive driving
ECO Mode
ECO Mode is an energy conservation feature that optimizes the cart's performance for maximum range and efficiency.
Full performance mode - maximum power and acceleration
Energy saving mode - extended range with reduced power
What ECO Mode Does:
- Reduces top speed by approximately 15-20% to conserve energy
- Softens acceleration for smoother, more efficient power delivery
- Optimizes motor efficiency to extend battery range
- Increases regenerative braking to recover more energy
- Long trips where range is a concern
- Flat terrain where maximum power isn't needed
- Casual neighborhood driving
- When battery level is getting low
Reverse Buzzer Control
The reverse buzzer (backup beeper) can be enabled or disabled based on your preference for quiet operation or safety awareness.
Silent reverse operation - no warning sound
Audible warning when reversing - safety alert
Smart Regenerative Braking
Smart Regenerative Braking is an advanced feature exclusive to the RXV 2025+ that intelligently manages energy recovery during braking and deceleration.
- Press the Parameter button (top left) until "Smart Regen" appears on screen
- Press the Adjust button to toggle between OFF and ON
- Click "Flash" to save your selection
Standard regenerative braking based on deceleration setting
Intelligent energy recovery optimized for terrain and speed
How Smart Regen Works:
When enabled, Smart Regenerative Braking uses advanced algorithms to:
- Analyze terrain - Detects uphill/downhill and adjusts braking accordingly
- Monitor speed - Optimizes energy recovery based on current velocity
- Predict braking needs - Anticipates stops and maximizes energy capture
- Balance comfort - Provides smooth deceleration while maximizing range
View Faults
The KRAKEN can read and display diagnostic fault codes from your cart's controller:
- Click "Fault" button to view active controller faults
- The device actively scans in real-time
- Use Increase/Decrease buttons to scroll up and down through multiple faults
- Fault count is displayed (e.g., 1/5, 2/5, etc.) showing current fault and total fault count
- Resolved faults will disappear automatically from view
Unpairing (USER VERSION)
To use your USER VERSION KRAKEN on a different cart, you must first unpair it from the current cart. Unpairing reverts the cart back to factory settings and frees the device to pair with another cart.
Unpair Process:
- Connect KRAKEN to the cart you want to unpair from
- When "Ready" appears, navigate to the Unpair option
- Click Unpair button
- Screen shows "Press Flash to Unpair"
- Click Flash to confirm and execute unpair
- Cart reverts to Setting Original Parameters (factory settings)
- You'll see "Unpair Success" confirmation
- Device is now free to pair with a different cart
Power Information
This device is powered by the cart. No external batteries are required.
Finished Programming
Once you've completed your programming session and applied all desired changes:
- Disconnect the cable from your cart's connector
